Purpose
The Conference Committee will develop the spring and fall conferences in support of the educational mission and goals of PREA.

Membership
The committee comprises approximately seven members. The committee size changes from time to time based upon the conference requirements. The membership consists of the Chairperson of the Conference Committee (which may be either a board or non-board member); two members with a strong interest in education and research, one of which will be a member of the Plan Sponsor Council Executive Committee; two Spring Conference Chairpersons; and two Fall Conference Chairpersons. The exact size of the committee will be determined by the president.

Term

• Committee Chairperson will serve a term of two years or more at the president's discretion
• Members of the committee will serve two-year terms
• Spring and Fall Conference Chairpersons (4) serve one-year terms, beginning one year prior to the conference they will chair. This structure is designed to provide continuity and experience

Tasks

• Establish general themes for spring and fall conference
• Develop program topics
• Recommend to the president a program format, moderators and speakers.
• Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the program and speakers after each conference
• Hold an open meeting during the conferences for the purpose of soliciting direct input from the membership
• Other, as determined
