To further the interests and values of the institutional real estate investment community by advancing industry-wide diversity and inclusion.
Real estate houses the economy. Annually, commercial real estate contributes over 2.3 trillion to US GDP and supports over 15 million jobs. Unfortunately, within the industry, only 3% of all capital investment decisions are made by firms owned by women and people of color combined. The lack of diversity in institutional real estate prevents organizations from leveraging the full spectrum of talent of individuals with unique insights that can help advance the industry in a competitive global market.
We know that talent is equally distributed in communities nationwide. Unfortunately, this talent is not equally developed. The PREA Foundation is funding the creation of career development programs to help underserved youth access life-changing careers in the vast real estate industry. These opportunities will create economic prosperity for diverse youth and create a commercial real estate industry that reflects our society's rich diversity.
Through PREA Foundation’s grant-making, we are building the largest and most comprehensive diversity career pipeline into the commercial real estate industry.
We are leaders in real estate who hold ourselves accountable for expanding the industry. We invest in young people with diverse perspectives and backgrounds to increase opportunities for success.
