Kimberly Carey, Teacher Retirement System of Texas
Carey is an Investment Associate in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas's Real Assets group. She performs due diligence and underwriting of real asset opportunities, including identifying, underwriting and recommending potential fund investments and principal investments in most asset classes and strategies. Prior to her current position, Carey worked in asset management and acquisitions for Prometheus Real Estate Group in the San Francisco Bay Area. She began her career at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas in the External Public Markets group, performing due diligence and underwriting long-oriented equity managers.

Lynton Lewis, Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan
Lewis is an Analyst within the real estate group of HOOPP. He is responsible for the acquisition, disposition, portfolio management, and selected asset management of all direct and indirect global real estate investments made by HOOPP. Lynton’s responsibilities include underwriting and due diligence of investment and development opportunities, as well as providing ongoing support to management of the funds standing assets. Prior to joining HOOPP, Lynton worked in the development and leasing groups at Primaris REIT and Northam Realty Advisors. Lynton holds an MBA specializing in real estate development and a bachelor of commerce from Ryerson University.

Dave Truex, Colorado PERA
Truex joined Colorado PERA in 2013 as a Portfolio Manager in the real estate investments group. His responsibilities include oversight of Colorado PERA’s portfolio of open-end funds, due diligence on new investments, and general portfolio strategy development and execution. Truex has eight years of real estate experience, including extensive acquisitions and portfolio management experience. Prior to joining Colorado PERA, he worked as an Associate in the investments group at DCT Industrial Trust in Denver, and prior to DCT, he was an Acquisitions Associate with BlackRock, Inc. in New York. Truex received a BS in economics from the University of Minnesota.
